Box Tracy Theatre Dance Company blurs the boundaries between dance and theatre in a collection of works inspired by the art of story telling, personal experience and a desire to challenge social conventions.
Producing powerful and engaging dance-theatre, Box Tracy strives to create its own unique physical vocabulary, bringing comedy, movement and honesty to the stage. The company, now in its 7th year, have been compared to French and Saunders and The Mighty Boosh, achieving critical acclaim both at home and internationally.
Box Tracy have worked with and participated in the workshops of a wide range of artists including Karen Christopher from Goat Island, Simon Vincenzi, the late Nigel Charnock, Bryonny Kimmings, Stacy Makishi, Peggy Shaw, Guy Dartnell and Matteo Fargion.
The company have lead workshops at Sussex Downs College and the University of Chichester, inspiring new generations of performers to experiment with cross-genre devising.
